The first nine-week grading period will end on November 2. We anticipate a return to in-person classes on November 4 for students who chose the Distance Learning/In-Person instructional model. Students who chose the Virtual School instructional model will continue in that model for at least the first semester. While it remains our goal to return to 100% in-person learning on November 4, if conditions remain that limit our capacity to return to 100% in-person learning, we will explore implementing a hybrid learning model.
As we receive additional guidance from the Kentucky Department of Education and other authorities, we will do our best to keep you informed.
As such, all school districts were given new guidelines from the Kentucky Department of Education on September 1 that we are required to implement and follow. Below, you will find a link to a document for your review. The most significant change pertains to the use of Cloth Face Coverings (Masks). The expectation reads: "the use of cloth face coverings (masks) should be required by all students and staff at all times while in the building or on the bus, unless medically waivered. Students and staff should only lower their masks while actively eating or drinking. This change is reflected on pages 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13."
Effective immediately, we are adhering to this guidance. If and when students are in our buildings in the future, they will be required to wear masks as directed as long as the guidance above is in effect.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Anything that we can do to limit the spread of COVID-19 increases our chances of being able to return to 100% in-person instruction on November 4.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
